What the heck is this? Identifying breed of large orange speckled chicken.

My friend recently bought this mystery hen that was being advertised as a "golden comet" but I know there's no way that's what it is. It's HUGE and orange and almost looks like it's developing mille fluer coloration. It's about 6 months old. What breed is it?? (EE For Scale )

She thought that too but I thought game hens were small! Admittedly I know very little about game hens other than the old English game bantam I owned for a while.

Interesting! Any idea what type of game bird this one could be then? And are their temperaments usually ok? She has small children.

I could give you some breeds, but to be honest it's not really plausible that a rare breed was sold on Craigslist as a golden comet, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say BYM
