Muskrat. Its OK, it won't eat chickens. If ya'll had nutria ya'll would have noticed them by now - they get huge!

Good looking pelt on him. Me and my buddy made good money when we were kids trapping them. Muskrat fur is very warm. Most REAL fur lined gloves are lined with muskrat.
Most farmers were happy to have us trap them because they undermined all the irrigation ditch banks.

a rare kinda breed of rat. I've seen them here in Indiana, and I saw something on the Discovery channel about them. I'll see what I can find online, and post a link. here it is! Its been spoted in NY! Nutria Rats!
