Found his little thing that looks like a face with a hat on. Obviously it has some other enigmatic technical function that is escaping my ludite mind but I have never encountered one before. Does anyone know what it is supposed to do? When plugged into my pc a red light glows out of the back of it but the computer does not recognise it.

It's a dongle for something. Maybe a wireless mouse, but it could be for any number of things.

It looks like a wireless usb plug for a BlackWeb Wireless Mouse

Ooh so maybe a wireless mouse somethingorother. Useless without the mouse which would explain why it just lights up when I plug it in then.
