Conny, you are the winner! Just got an email back from Tudor Sci, and he said the top fits into the rotovap, and sediments move into the arm-thingies. He said he'd call it a "centrifical flask", but must either be an older line or special order cause it isn't in their product list.
...Buuuut, a horror movie prop or a lamp gone wrong is cooler. XD
Stupidbird, it was an Ebay find. They have a pretty good Sci glassware selection usually.
Well, I'm certainly glad we got that settled. Of course that brings up a whole new question. What the heck is a rotovap and what kind of sediments does it deal with?
