I have, well had 14 chicks born on Easter. and now 2 weeks later one died???? what happened? I looked it over and I SEE nothing wrong???? it was one of the bigger ones, it was an Easter egger.......... no onw else looks sickly....... and this morning I noticed NOTHING wrong. DH called me this afternoon that is was died. I have not a clue.

probably not very funny at the moment - but I like to compare chicks to light bulbs. Sometimes they just burn out.

One of the issues with birds is they usually don't show any simptom of illness until they drop over dead.
 
Probably some genetic defect. It happens, and it can happen even later in life. It also happens to other animals. We lost a puppy at about 4 weeks once. Fat and happy as the rest of his litter mates one minute and gone the next. No warning. The vet said it was probably a heart defect.

ur all probably right. I'm just hoping that is what it is and not something major that could affect the rest of them.
