Is this normal? This is the first egg of this color so it must be another chicken started laying but I've never seen this before..

no, don't eat any egg with a hole in it. the intact shell prevents pathogens from entering.

Depends on how nervous you generally are about that kind of thing.... I'm pretty easy going adventure that stuff, but unless i was desperate for eggs I'd feed it back to the flock

My "not a concern " was more about not an alarming thing regarding potential hen health issues
