What the.....?

Hello everyone! I've been following this site for almost a year but this is my first time posting. Back in March of 2017 we bought 50 Cornish cross hens from our local tractor supply store but we noticed about 2 weeks after we took them home that 2 chickens were very different from the rest. Can anyone tell me what these are?

Sure as heck not Cornish X and also not pullets. What sort of cockerels they are - I am not certain.

I was going to suggest splash maran cockerels but, They should have more yellow(ish) Feathers at the base of their tails(Hackle feathers) and around their necks. They also have way too many feathers on their legs.. Maybe some kind of splash cochin mix?

Welcome to BYC! They are attractive birds. I have no idea what type of chicken those are or even if they are cockrel. They sure are eyeballing you like my cockrel do for me. @Teila @aart @007Sean do any of you have an idea?

Cocklers.. They probably threw them in hoping you wouldnt noticed at the time since you got so many. If can have roosters id keep one than you hatch out your own chicks. Sorry this happened to you. I boughy five chicks from someone an they were all rooters.

Mine started their first attempts around 5 months of age FWIW.

Look like splash Langshans to me looking at their shape and height. Maybe splash Marans. Cockerels for sure.

They just have nothing for spurs for 10 month olds though and no crowing.... My 7 monthers already have 2-3 spurs at 3/8ths inch.

Being silly here but there must be estrogenizing hormones in your water!
