I have 7 female Muscovies, and 2 males. The females started sitting on eggs this spring,(all 7 of them) and hatched dozens of babies. I separated the males from the females after the babies hatched, (it was the middle of May), and they have been separated ever since. My hubby was working in the garden today, and along comes a momma 'scovy with four brand new babies???!!!!??? What the heck? What did I miss? I am a little confused, as I deliberately kept the males away from the females because I didn't want to deal with having to sell/give away more babies... what gives?
