What time do they go to bed?

Mine are all in bed by dark. We just walk out and shut the door. We used to have to herd them in. I would call Snakeman The Duck Whisperer because he made herding 2 dozen ducks look so easy.

Didn't take too long and they finally got it and now they just do it on their own. Any new ducks we introduce seem to take their lead from the rest of the flock.

I put mine in by dark too, they are usually sitting by the gate to their run by that time, but never actually go in until I walk over to "shoo" them in. Once I came home after dark and they met me at the driveway and "yelled" at me all the way to their gate (which gets left open all day for them).

My pekins do the same thing as "gryeyes" ducks. They patrol the yard at night. They used to go in the run when the chickens went to bed, but they started sleeping in the grass outside. They will wander around the yard off and on during the night. I think they are mostly comming up to the house to check for left over cat food.

Mine dont remember how to get into the door, so they sleep rite outside of it until i come at about 7:30 when its pretty much dark at my house, and i just stand in front of them, they all turn around, and jump in 1 by 1...Sometimes Blossum dosen't and she scrambles around like a maniac and they lodges herself behind the coop, and then squeezes out and i have to catch the speedy little thing....
