My coop is always open for them to come and leave at anytime. There are no predators in my area.

Open at sunrise, (unless we sleep late on the weekend, they have a very large area to hang out in while they wait) and locked up after they all go to roost.

I have a ramp system that closes the door between coop and run. The run is underneath the coop. I let them into the coop before i go to work, usually around 740. We leave them in the run unless we can check on them in the yard at least every 30 mins.

I let mine out anywhere from 7-8:30am and put them away about 5pm. When school goes back the hens will be let out at about 6:30-7am but for now I’m enjoying sleeping in

We have sprung for the FULLY automated door hehe it opens at dawn and closes at dark. I do go at dark and put in the lolly gagers ...we also have set up a CCTV camera to see just who is NOT going in or if they all have made it in before the door closed. Yes WE spoil our flock.
