What time do yours go to bed (roost)?

About 8:15

I have 5 different chicken pens. Pen #1 houses the older hens and roosters. They start roosting at 6:30 pm. Pen #2 sees them starting to roost, so are on their roosts by 7:00 pm. Pen #3 hens (banty pen) will start roosting about 7:00 pm but the banty roosters will not go in to roost until about 7:30pm. They have to do a sweep of the barnyard to make sure all of the other roosters are in. They have to make sure that no one is having fun without them. Pens #4 and #5 roost between 7:30 pm - 8:00 pm. By 8:00 pm all are in and roosting, so then I am able to walk around and close all of the chicken coop doors.

I would guess about 8:30, but really it depends on when the sun sets. Just as it starts to get dark, they are all tuckered out, except for the 15 minutes of arguing about who is sleeping beside whom. My 4 yo claims that the chickens go to bed when the lightning bugs come out. She opines that chickens must be scared of bugs whose butts light up. lol

some of my bantams are on the roost by 5:30 and my polish are next their roosting by 6:30 and then my younger birds and welsummers head to bed around 8:30 to 9:00.
