Hi All,

My Australorp hen has just started spending her days on the nest and getting quite upset at me if I try to move her (which I do)...We have a rooster in the flock but I'm not interested in having any chickens to worry about so am not happy about her showing these signs.
The other issue is that it seems this nest is the only one that any of the others want to lay in too - try as I might, they won't lay anywhere else and will literally line up waiting for their turn at the nest...execept that now Patsy won't move off it!
Any ideas on how to deal with this besides isolating her (which seems really mean)?

TIA

PS: I didn't think Australorps were meant to be particularly broody!
