Also, i want to add that i dont "support" the whole One roo to every _ Hens. I have two roosters running around my backyard with two hens. I have two other roosters together (the blind ones) & if i happen to start hatching babies, if i were to get 10 roosters & 5 hens. I would seperate them accordingly & add some hens for each roo (MAYBE rehome a few to good homes that i know they will not be food). But i think i am done with this thread as i am tired of feeling hurt & attacked.

MrsLopez, I'm sorry you feel attacked. I sure hope that wasn't the intention here. And this thread wasn't to convince folks to kill their roosters; at least, that wasn't my slant on it. The gist of it is that if the rooster cannot be retrained, then he should be removed from the situation so he cannot harm anyone. How a person does that is up to them and no one is wrong or right. No one needs to convince anyone of anything here; the goal was to set out options and make suggestions. For the record, I love roosters and it saddens me every time one makes an unexpected aggressive move toward a human being here, which is actually quite rare. That means I may have to make a hard decision. Most of mine have been wonderful.

Since there has been enough discussion on both sides, I'm going to close this thread now. Thanks for all who participated.
