I have around 30 hens. most are golden sexlink. a few years ago i bought a few hens from the hatchery, bad idea. i guess since they were not sort of immune they got really bad infested with lice and scaley leg mites. i had one loose the tips of her little toes. i didn't know what was going on till it was to late. i have tried powders and vaseline it only works for a little while, then back to square one. No my others are starting to get raised scales some are limping because of it, and i see a bug here and there. i am not sure of internal parasites.

i know i sound like a horrible chicken person. but i want to get rid of these bugs!!!!!! i also would like to get some meat chicks and don'/t want them to get the lice.

So what i have found is, ivomec for cattle pour on, how many drops? or i can do the injection kind, but drop are easier. i have ivermectin for injecting, if so how much?

How often do i need to do it?

And for the white chickens who are badly infested, what do i give them, since it can kill them if all the bugs die?

how long should i not sell the eggs for?

any info, and tips welcome, or other brands. i just need something that will kill everything at once.

thanks!!!!!! i just want to get all the bugs. and i am in the process of cleaning all the coops out so it would be a perfect time. i dust the coops with poultry dust and i have some spray i use also.

I don't actually have the pour on. i do have access to the ivermectin injectable.

i have been reading a lot and i am so confused now. any tips or suggestions of what to use would be great and how often, if there is a second does , etc.

but what do i do for the badly infested ones? i was reading about the worms and i know i have had 1 or 2 of these that have had those symptoms. will wazine work for the first dosage? what does it all kill, internal and external?
