I just rescued 2 poults from my pool.thry were nearly drowned but still alive. They keep rolling over on their backs and are unable to right themselves. Their mother is lingering nearby but won't get close to them. I'm worried they will die or their mother will abandon them. What, if anything, should I do???

These are wild birds? Or your own?

Despite common belief, birds do not reject their young after human handling. Not to say she wouldn't reject them for another weird bird reason.
Other than that, get them dried up and placed where mom can see them. Maybe someone else will know more
