What to do if bumblefoot infection in a chicken occurs?!

Hi i have a rooster who was up and about running and completely fit yesterday and today around noon he was lying on one side. He cant stand on one foot and on close observation i realised there were black patches under his feet. Can it bebumblefoot infection? Is it possible to delay showing him to the vet for 3 days because of some problems i cannot take him to the vet presently.

But im still unclear on how severe the infection is right now. Because i really wanna know if its possible to delay it for 3 days...

Hmm... it would be great for a vet to do the surgery. But you said that he was lying on his side and stuff so he is probably in a significant amount of pain. The scabs are big, but his feet don't seem very swollen, so the infection probably isn't incredibly bad yet. I would say to separate him in a dog cage or something and give him food and water (and maybe electrolytes) where he can reach it lying down. If he gets worse and stops eating or drinking, I would say do the surgery. But, if you really want to, you could wait for the vet as long as he doesn't take a turn for the worse. Good luck!

It defiently is bumblefoot. The best thing to do would be to take him to the vet. In the meantime, you should separate hime from the other chickens.

Well update is he's not eating or drinking and has become totally unresponsive
We're giving him antibiotics though...
