What to do if I get roosters

I ordered six chicks online and asked for all females. There is no 100% guarantee though. I live in an area where we can't have loud crowing. I have heard of no-crow collars but I would feel bad for making a rooster wear that his whole life. Is there any other options beside the obvious (slaughter) that I could pursue?

If you can’t keep a roo and don’t want to slaughter, rehoming is the best choice. If you’re getting them from a hatchery, they’re usually about 90% accurate on sexing, so the odds are in your favor. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, though it is good to be prepared.

I rehomed on Craigslist. The family who took him was great. You may have to weed through a few people but you’ll find a home.
