I've got some Silkie, Frizzle, and Quail eggs left in the incubator, total of over 50 eggs. They're all due to go into the hatcher tomorrow, however, today I thought I lost them all when I noticed the thermometer was wrong..the temp never shifted, couldn't be a coincidence, so I checked it, sure enough..broken. Temp was at 98.5 for who knows how long, a couple days probably.

So should I put them into lockdown tomorrow, or wait?
I thought they were dead, but saw one move slightly, haven't checked the others again.

Do it, they should be fine. 98.5 is not that much of a drop and eggs have hatched from worst temp drops/spikes than that. Good luck.

I'd definitely just put them in lockdown and see what happens. If all else fails, they'll just be in lockdown a little longer than usual, which I don't think is a big deal. I think you'll still probably have a decent hatch, hopefully! Thinking good thoughts for your eggs!

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you, I'm going to put them in. I think it wouldn't harm them to not be turned a couple days, if it takes that long...and just a little higher humidity shouldn't harm them either.
I will keep posted

The chicks are fine! I didn't put them in lockdown yet, they seem a little too small...but I did see movement in almost all of them, I'm so relieved! I think i'll put them in lockdown on Sunday or Monday. If you saw them, you'd believe me, they look like they need more time...but atleast they're alive!

They're hatching! I got the humidity back up in the hatcher, got a new thermometer, and went to get them and put them in, and noticed 3 were pipped.

no one made it out last night, though I see them moving and the beak of one, and another has a larger pip. But other than that..nothing. The other decided to take a break from zipping. Guess it's going to be a long day.
