Since you have the heat plate you don't need the lamp.

Sometimes they just peck out of boredom. I'd get things to keep him entertained. A small container full of dirt is great enrichment. It gives them a chance to peck and scratch around, practice sand bathing, and builds their immune system. Shiny objects will also give them something else to peck at.

Very sad day! I just went in to check my little babies and one of them just laid down and died. I have no idea what was wrong with her. She was eating, drinking and pooping just fine.
