what to do with all the male chicks.

You could caponize them, raise them and eat them. Or sell their meat (if that's legal in your area.)
If you don't want that investment, you could sell them on craigslist or on one of the auctions on here.
Good luck!

It might be time to buy one of those "501 ways to cook chicken" books

This is why one should always plan ahead.

I never sell THAT many chicks and have THAT many cockerels remaining, and I usually sell breeds people actually want males of. . . But, if I have extras, I raise them to eat. Even raising up until their first crow is fine.

One of my markets here for my males are people who are feeding their dogs a natural food diet. I have several customers lined up for my extra roos. I grow them out for them and then they pay me for raising them up for them. I have them all ready for them to come pick them up and they actually take them from me live.

Most have the facilities to dress them themselves but they don't have the time or the inclination to raise them. I get paid for my time and trouble.

It's a win/win situation for both of us.

Butcher them and eat them. I know that it is too many to eat all at once but you can freeze them or can them in jars with the broth and use it to make quick meals out of later.

How the heck did you end up with so many???? Did you incubate all those? I dont know about KY, but here, I have a sole buyer of all my male chicks; as soon as they hatch, he takes them all one crack, for the same reason Laurie sells off her males. I literally give them away for the price he pays, but better than getting stuck with them. I keep a few with each new hatch and ad to the breeding stock that I keep. I posted an ad in CL, thats how I found my single buyer. I have had folks request males, but when they hatched, often times changed their minds, so I will not sell the male chicks to individuals unless they pay upfront because it takes me too long to rehome them. Good luck in finding a buyer, there is one out there, just be creative with you ads.

Since it is not economical to raise them up for the most part unless you plan on eating them yourself, I would sell them to the pet food market. An ad saying good for reptile feeders or such may get some interest.
