I was asked this:...

When emptying some poop into can, ,thousands of magets!
should Ibe doing something else with the poop?

My answer is:
YOU NEED TO PUT A LAYER OF HYDRATED SLAKE LIME ON EACH BATCH OF MANURE AS IT IS PUT IN THE GARBAGE CAN,
or where ever you make the compost pile.

AND RUN AN AD IN THE SHOPPERS GUIDE,

FOR FREE FERTILIZER(the ones reading it will know what it is for:FOR GARDENS:

AND OR FIND A FARMER THAT HAS ROW CROPS AND DELIVER IT TO HIS COMPOST PILE.

HYDRATED SLAKE LIME:
AS THAT KILLS THE FLY EGGS SO AS TO NOT LET THE MAGGOTS HATCH.
with that said there are a couple of ideas and or ask your friends if they have gardens.

and a compost pile as the lime is great for the garden.

I never got maggots in the chicken droppings. I did have maggots in a garbage receptacle, which I hosed out with water and then sprayed can with a bleach solution. I throw out my chicken droppings into the garden compost, never needed to add lime, but it is a good Idea.

I've never had a maggot issue on/in the chicken dropping. We put the droppings on the compost pile then till them into the garden each spring.

We use sand on the coop floor and diatomaceous earth dusting on it every few weeks, and that seems to till right into our garden nicely. We till it in about twice a year: spring before planting and fall after harvest. The DE keeps down the flies in the coop and the bugs in the garden, and the sand helps our clay soil.
