What to do with chicken skin?

Did you skin the wings to for the pictured bird? I might have to do this with some of my prettier birds I butcher

No we cut the wings off and dried them separately. We didn't really know what we were doing at the time though. We were just winging it ;)

I'm not sure if you could extract the wings from the bones without ruining the skin. I think that's why we cut them off, since you generally cut the wing tips off when skinning (at least that's the only we were able to figure it out) We also wanted the skin to lay flat and the wings would have added some dimension to the skin in the frame that we didn't want. It was all an experiment.

Were the wings as beautiful or a solid color

I can't exactly remember what colors they were, but they weren't solid. Definitely had some of that blue/green iridescence that australorp roosters have. We had a good few of them and we only did one skin like this.

Hi there! I know this is an old post, but I’ve not seen anything else helpful. What pattern/method did you follow to cut away the skin in a single piece?
