Well my mother had a good idea. She said to put him into a box and donate him to Goodwill or bring the box to Walmart bottle return department and just leave it in the cart and walk away.. Can you imagine LMAO......

Oh I forgot this one.... Bring him to Animal Control and I said yeah and what do I say when they ask me where I found it??? "It was a stray and was wandering around in my yard" Yeah right. Like they will believe that one... HA! My silly mother and her bright ideas LOL

If it is necessary for you to cull him, a swift death is better than being live food for a snake. Sounds cold, but just skin him once he is bled out, chop him up, stew and feed him back to the other chickens. They can always use the extra protein, or save the cooked bird and feed it ground up when nursing other sick or injured hens. At least he will make a final contribution to the whole flock. I suspect I will do that with the excess Silkie roos when there is no market for them in my area. Mine are only pet quality, and silkies are for the broodiness, though I am getting hooked on them
