what to do with dry chicks in incubator

Ok we have 4 chicks in the bator that have hatched out and almost dry and 2 have been in there since 1:00pm and still 4 that are cracked with a little hole where they poked there beak thru, how long will the ones that have been in there since1:00pm stay in there until they need to be pulled out and put in the brooder??

You can leave them in there until tomorrow. They'll be fine and strong. It will also protect the hatching environment for those that have pipped and started zipping.

Thanks alot, This is our first time we have done anything like this and my daughters and wife were going crazy watching the chicks hatch out and we were just wondering what was the next step, Thanks again

MissP ;

Will the newly hatched chicks hurt themselfs if your egg turners are several inches from the bottom of the bator, and what happens do they just wander around up there on the turners. This is if you do not use a seperate hatcher, I get that part.

Thanks
AL
