so I got 7 coturnix quail recently as adorable little babies and now they are almost grown up. well out of that 7, three turned out to be male, and I don't know what to do with them. I would prefer not to cull them, since I raised them from chicks, and I am quite attached to them, but it is still an option. thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I had an unwanted rooster and I put him in my local newspaper for free. There was a local farmer who watches newspaper and Craigslist for free or cheap Birds to add to his flock. It might be an option for you.

thank you for your quick response! I am thinking that i will try to give them away for free, but if that is not an option (by that i mean there are not that many quail owners where i live) i will invite a friend of mine over and have her help me butcher them, and eat them for dinner! or lunch. or maybe just a snack.

I know people that keep them as pets, and teachers that want them as classroom pets because they are reasonably quiet, easy to care for, and only take up a little space. List them on craigslist in the pet section, or take them to your local feed store and trade for feed.
