I have an existing flock of 1 Ayam Cymani Roo, 3 Wyandotte pullets, 1 Black Australorp pullet and 2 Silkie hens. We are adding 9 more chicks to the flock and I’m concerned I may have some roosters in the group and would love help figuring out if it’s ok to have multiple roos or if we should only have one for such a small flock...
We are adding 5 Whiting True Blue, 2Fibro, and 2 Langshan, I just don’t know any of their genders quite yet. They are 10 weeks old.
I would love input:)

From my experience and from what I’ve heard from other people experience is it depends on your roosters personality which could depend on breed. Some rooster breeds work better than others as far as keeping two roosters. I am not familiar with the breed of rooster you have though. Hopefully someone will come along who does. I know I could never get another rooster because where I have a rooster Who could not be more sweet and gentle with my hands he is an old English and those are known not to work well with others.

I’m currently going through this. It looks as if I have ONE hen and THREE roos. I’m obviously attached to all of them. If anyone who is reading this has advice, hit me!

I have been struggling with this. I bought 4 females and I am pretty sure 2 are male--I'm still in the denial phase. I found a rescue group today that will take one of the males if it turns out to be two. They also have younger females available, so I can get a few more females for the one roo I would keep. My stomach is no longer in knots

How old are the chickens in question?
