What to do - with my Roo

I have a SS Roo that I love and want to keep but he is 7 weeks old and already crowing like a mad man. He started at a very young age.
My neighbors will not allow me to keep a roo because they think dogs barking are fine but a crow is obscene.
I was thinking about building him a "dog house" on the ground and another up in the tree so he can stay around the house but not technically be my chicken since he is full time free range and not living in my coop.
I let my chickens free range a couple hours during the day and all day on weekends so he would not be lonely, he just can't sleep with the girls.
What do you think about my plan?

and start NWII (neighbor war 2), I don't think so

My old neighbor threatened to shoot me because I was chasing my chickens around Near his property. he is gone now. My neighbors now would just complain to the city.

I would love to keep him but I do not want to be rude to my neighbors and don't want to risk my little Roo's life since we have a lot of predators. I guess I will find him a home or someones dinner on Craigslist.

Are you not allowed to own a roo where you live? My neighbors had the audacity to complain about my roosters crowing (when I have to listen to their 4 kenneled dogs barking and howling all the time b/c they don't pay them a speck of attention). I brought up this and the fact that we live in agriculturally zoned subdivision. Their response to that: fine, we'll just shoot him. The next day they got a nice little visit from our wonderful AC officer. He told them they couldn't so much as throw rocks at my chooks...........even if they are in their yard. They were all like

and I was like

then when Mr. AC left they thought they'd be funny and tell me Id better keep my chickens penned, b/c if they saw.them out they were going to turn their dogs loose on them. I simply told them to go ahead, I've been looking for an excuse to be rid of those mangey mutts since I moved in 5 years ago. They made the next call to animal control telling them I was threatening to shoot their stupid dogs. So back out they came, to see me this time. Then back to the neighbors they went to let them know it was my legal right to shoot them, and they'd be responsible for their disposal if I did. I know AC doesn't do much for some people, but im very happy with mine. He even made a point to cuddle my favorite girl Gretchen before he left, and came back and bought chicks from me

Good luck- and keep in mind you do have to live next to the people. Everyone warned me my neighbors aren't the nicest when we moved in right next to them. Now I think they warn everyone else not to mess with the crazy chicken lady next door

I love it, great story. It's good to hear one where the chicken owner comes out on top.

I cannot have roosters by my city ordinance and am limited to 6 hens. This is fair enough for me except for the dog barking issue; mainly I am just sad because I have grown attached to Roosty.
