What to do with old eggs??

I try to use up all eggs, If they are adding up I pickle some. Feed some back to the birds, dogs. Any that are questionable get tossed in the garbage. Any that are really bad, possible explosions waiting to happen, unhatched broody/incubator eggs, get carefully placed into a big coffee can or plastic container and froze until I can take them to the dump.

My neighbors wife was sick and he had to be at the hospital with her. He had an abundance of eggs he gave meo try to get rid of for him. I had about 4 dozen left that have been setting in my fridge. I floated them and ended up with about 1 1/2 - 2 dozen that floated. What can I do with these eggs? Anything?....cook and feed them to my dogs or back to my birds, throw them away? I would hate for them to go to waste if there is something I can do with them.

Becareful though sometimes your better off putting some food coloring in them so they don't start eating there own eggs

Feeding eggs back to the birds shouldn't trigger egg eating. So long as birds are getting a balanced ration they don't tend to eat eggs in the nests unless one gets broken.

In Laura Ingalls' day, didn't they bury eggs in the yard for like weeks and months at a time? Their hens were not the egg laying machines we have now. A few good months in the spring and then they tapered way off. After a few months, some of the eggs were "not the freshest tasting" but they ate them anyway...I'm assuming they didn't get food poisoning or anything...I've never had an egg that was spoiled and didn't have a very distinct odor. Like, you know before you crack it open. And if you are noseblind and you do crack it open, it's a goopy mess inside.
