What to do with older layers?

As my hens stop laying they will be destined for the stew pot. I just don't have the space to keep all of them, and I can't afford to feed old non-producing hens along with young layers.

One or two will be kept as pets and will stay here until they pass.

When my girls stop laying. They will be processed. That is why I have dual purpose birds. They will be replaced.
