What to do with Roosters

Have you picked up others, to see if they are equally docile? Being aggressive to other birds can certainly cause problems later.

Do you have another place you could house some of them temporarily? (Maybe something like a dog kennel on the other side of the house.) Because then you could remove some roosters, watch how the remaining birds interact, and use that to help make final decisions about which ones to butcher.

I’m trying to decipher the chicken behavior. I was sitting with him today and another roo upset a hen so he went over and messed with the roo and then chased the hen around. This evening when it came time to close up the coop he came up to me and we walked together back to the coop. I would like to be able to separate them but I don’t have the money to do so at this time.
