What to do with too many Silkie roosters

I bought straight run, and ended up with almost 1/2 roosters. That was FAR too many, the hens were being run ragged and the pecking order squabbles never ended.

As noted, they do indeed "taste like chicken"

Do Silkies taste like chicken? The meat looks quite different. Anyone remember the fuss when Food Network's Iron Chef ingredient was Silkie chicken?
Looks like chicken to me....

To clarify:

My pictures are of my excess silver grey dorking roosters. Not silkies...

Most folks in USA would not be putting a chicken in the cart if they saw the ones in the front row here-

There's actually a market in the Asian culture for silkie chicken meat. I've read a couple stories of people who tapped this market.

I have been to China several times. EXCELLENT food, but you've got to be a little adventurous, and ready to roll with a different cultural approach to "presentation"!

As David, a long gone boss when I cheffed used to say: "People eat with their eyes, you know"! I want to tell ya, learning to eat with chopsticks nearly blinded me before I got the hang of it. Then David told me that was just a metaphor...
