Clean it off and see where the wound is you don’t want dried blood on the feathers
Is the preening gland injured
I cleaned it off and no it doesn’t look injured just some feathers got broken and made her bleed

I think it might have bin to hot so I turned it off passed it to the other chickie babies. The tote is big but I moved them around for now till I figure what else to do.

The other chicks are pecking this one.
This is one reason some heat lamps has a red bulb to deter picking.
Not enough space and to much heat could be the problem, but what ever you do watch this situation closely. Once the chicks get a taste of blood they can peck a hole into the flesh of your poor white chick.
Your farm store has some anti pick lotion that might help. If it gets worse you may have to separate your c

hick from the others.
Good luck!

This tote is much too small. Chicks need to run and flap. A brooder should be a minimum of 3 feet long with 5-8 being much better. Things will get much worse.

That heat bulb is probably too much for that set up. What's the wattage? I have always used a white light bulb.

I have always used a regular white bulb also.
I usually start with a 75 watt for the first week then go to a 60 watt, and eventually end up at a 25 watt mostly just so they have some light, not necessarily for heat.
I also use the 25 watt when they go outside as they redily come to the light when it gets dark and helps them get in the return to the coop routine.
