Ok I will try feeling and what happens if there is what do I do then? Yes I do provide grit and oyster shellYes, you should feel inside the vent for an egg.
She might be having trouble with a soft shelled egg, hard to know.
The poop is looking a bit better, it can be thin like that if they have any reproductive problems (swelling/inflammation and/or internal blockage). Check her crop to make sure it's empty in the morning before she eats/drinks.
I agree getting extra calcium into her would be good - do you provide oyster shell and grit? (I may have missed that).
Worming may not hurt, I would follow the directions on your Wazine bottle - you would want to start in the morning when everyone has not eaten/drank overnight.
If she's doing fine now, then I wouldn't feel for an egg.Ok I will try feeling and what happens if there is what do I do then? Yes I do provide grit and oyster shell
I am going to treat the birds first thing tomorrow morning with the wazine17 shall I order any other kind of dewormer just to have on hand any recommendations are greatly appreciated!! Do we not eat the eggs while on dewormer? Only 4 out of 11 are currently laying they are approximately 21-23 weeks
Ok thank you so much will keep an eye on her through out the dayIf she's doing fine now, then I wouldn't feel for an egg.
Wazine17 only treats roundworms. For most other types of worms you can use Fenbendazole (Safeguard) or Valabazen. For treatment tape worms you would want to use Praziquantel.
I have them on a Scratch and Peck organic layer feed I only give them meal worms on occasion not daily
It's a brand name.Is “Scratch and Peck” a brand name? Or is the “scratch” a reference to treat feed?
It's a brand name.
No but...I firmly believe that it is not a great feed to feed because It is whole grains and the birds have a choice to choose which grains they would like to eat.Thank you! So it’s not scratch at all?
