I would leave it. I have never had a quail peck that hard to break an egg (especially a chick). The egg pipped on the wrong side though. If it take more than 24 hours to hatch, you may want to assist.I think my quail pecked a hole in this chicken egg before it was ready to hatch cause I dont see a beak but I can see that there is a whole chicken in there. Do I juss leave it ?
Do you know of a link or have any advice on how to assist and when I should do it ?I would leave it. I have never had a quail peck that hard to break an egg (especially a chick). The egg pipped on the wrong side though. If it take more than 24 hours to hatch, you may want to assist.
Do it after 24 hours. I would coat the egg with coconut oil (a little) if the membrane is dry before then.Do you know of a link or have any advice on how to assist and when I should do it ?
