what to do?

I got my order from McMurray yesterday. lost one in shipping and one this afternoon. the one that passed this afternoon started out a bit slow then started drooping down while standing and not having any balance. I now have another with the same symptoms. what could be wrong?

It doesn't sound like any disease symptoms to me. It just sounds like the stress from shipping. You got them yesterday, do you know when they shipped? Are they drinking, eating and pooping?

Make sure the temp is right, and add sugar to their water.

Yep, sounds like possible shipping stress. Make sure each of them is eating and drinking. Did you dip each of their beaks in the water as soon as you put them in the brooder? You might do it again to make sure they know where the water is.

I have heard mixed opinions about putting sugar in the water. I have heard it is much better to get some electrolytes from the feed store and put that in the water. I did this last year when a few of my chicks seemed a little week. It did help most of them perk up.

From what I can see they are all eating drinking and pooping. I did dip all there beaks and did it again for the ones I was concerned about. I am giving them the quik chik stuff from McMurray now and will continue. The one I was concerned the most about seems to be perking up a little bit but seems that he is still week and gets pushed away from the feeder by others. should I separate it from the others with a buddy?
