what to feed baby chicks

i have baby chicks that are a few days old when can i feed them some thing other then starter food

From my experience with chicks, I found that they LOVE fruits. Just remember not to give them banana peels and orange peels. It'll make them sick. If it's warm where you are you can take them outside and they like eating grass. They also like snow, too.

They can eat just about any treat you want to give them right from the start. Broodies hens take their chicks foraging within days of hatching. Just remember that you need to give them some grit. And go sparingly on the goodies. Just a tiny bit is plenty for their little crops. They need to be filling up on their feed to support healthy growth and development.
