If I recall, Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks recommends shifting from starter crumble to grower at around 3 weeks of age, so I don't see an issue there. I would, however, probably add a tablespoon of brewer's yeast (not baking yeast, not winemaking yeast, brewer's yeast) per cup of duckling food for another six weeks or so to be sure they are getting enough B vitamins.

Where can I find it and what is Brewers yeast? Thanks for your input. I appreciate it so much. I was only concerned because I was told to wait until week 8 to switch the chicks over

Every area is different. Sometimes you can find it in a big box grocery store, sometimes a health food store, sometimes a GNC if you have those, so call around. You can order it online, also.

There are a number of different philosophies on raising ducks. I followed Storey's Guide pretty closely, and all eleven of mine made it to adulthood.
