My chicks- 12 chicks that are 4 weeks old, and 2 one week old, in the same brooder. After tomorrow I will also have 2 chicks that are 2 days old, and 3 that are 5 weeks old. The 2 day old chicks will probably be put in the same brooder as the first chicks because they are from the same hatchery, the 5 week old chicks will be quarantined for a week because they are from a breeder. With so many varying ages in one brooder, do I keep buying chick feed? Or should separate older from younger so the older can have developer feed while the younger has chick feed? Just trying to figure out if I should not buy the 50lb bag of chick feed today. Thanks!
