What to feed multipurpose birds if you plan to use them for meat?

I have a small flock of multipurpose birds (Orpingtons and BCM) and have set 15 eggs that I want to use for meat. I know that with cornish crosses you generally feed them high protein crumble (as opposed to lay crumble) but should I do the same for the multi's I am hatching for meat? I was planning on harvesting around four months but if I feed a higher protein feed can I expect to harvest them sooner? Anyone out there have experience with setting multi's for meat rather then eggs? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

it depends on how fast you want them to grow. If you want them to grow fast then use a higher protien food if you don't care how fast they grow then use a lower protien food after they are out of the chick stage,
