What to feed to get Orange yolk

Pics
I am trying to get my eggs to carry vitamin D, E, K, and A which is known to be present on dark orange yolk but feeding the birds marigold or some other form of color enhancements, those vitamins don't exist
Vitamins A,D,E,K are fat soluble vitamins. Can be found in dark green leafy vegetables. Vitamin D CAN be supplemented, but its main function is to promote calcium uptake in bone.
I don't see why one would need to supplement D.
Make a chicken garden with spinach, kale, chard. Also look at colorful winter squashes.
In winter you can look into sprouting seeds for daily treats.

Awesome thank you

Just about every day, my chickens get some spinach with their mash snack in the mid-afternoon. This has been going on for a month....?

While the yolks are a nice dark yellow, they are nowhere near orange. 🤷‍♀️

I always give the girls half a butternut squash or pumpkin to pick at. Helps keep yolks orange & pretty cheap if I run out of the ones I grew.

Is there such thing? 😂
I hadn't thought so previously - but now that its taken over a 6x4' section of a raised planter?? Yeah, I don't actually like salad that much. The kale in the other half of the planter went nicely with some chicken sausage I made from one of the older roos.

And marigolds are very easy to grow. I do not have a green thumb at all and grew these. They are french sparky marigolds. View attachment 3021707View attachment 3021708
I forgot to mention this bonus too. Marigolds are said to repel snakes. Something to do with their strong scent. I'm not sure if my electric poultry netting and guard roosters

helped too but i planted them around my coop and run and did not see a snake in that area last spring/summer. And I live close to woods, creeks and stock tanks..lots of snakes.
