I have lived in the city, suburbs, and now live very rural...and "civilization" as far as area goes has nothing to do with being civilized..and as matter of fact suburbs are worst for being "uncivilized" they just hide it behind pretty little yards and expensive houses. Get behind those closed doors and it can be scary....lol. You guys are all great here I love the comedy, help and free entertaining everyone offers.
And as for the subject of the post...I agree with those who say build it up with dirt. As long as drainage is good. I also would put pea gravel or smooth rocks around pool/pond that needs extra drainage and gets most of the mud action. If run is covered and drains well dirt should be just fine

Very true that. All teasing aside I do agree! Trust me if I could I would move deep into the woods.....
But I would still have a pretty yardcause that's the way I like it.

Actually where the new location of my birds is gonna be is not however behind a fence so no more night gown duck chores for me. Oh well maybe I won't get poo on my house coat anymore!

That's why you should never wear a house coat in the chicken area.....Skin washes faster than clothes,,,and the WWD *itches less....
