What to give baby quails for food

So ive ran out of chicken food that i used to give my baby hatches.. Which was high in protien and since baghdad is in lockdown because of corona i cannot go buy them food so i blended wheat and corn into little grains and mixed a ton of chicken protien in it and they seem to go and eat the leftovers of the bought food what can i give them for food cause my current food is just corn and wheat and protien whereas the bought food had soya in it.

I have read that high protien game bird is good for them but do not know what goes into that food, you should be able to look online at their ingredients. You might post this in the Quail forum also, there are a lot of quail experts in there.

Good luck, I hope you figure out something to keep them healthy and stay safe yourself.

Remember, birds hate change however, they should eat your food once they are hungry enough, good idea keeping an eye on them to be sure.

You are doing just fine. Thousands of people have raised millions of birds on wheat and corn alone, and have done so for hundreds of years. You are doing great!

You can go outside and look for bugs and worms too I give my 4 day old chicks worms and they run around and eat them and they are fine afterwords. If you run out of corn and soy that is an option, or you can feed it as supplement food.
