What to grow in my empty pens

    Ok I have 3 empty pens 2 are fully shaded,what can I grow in them for when my chicks get big enough to go in em?
    I need some thing that grows fast and that they can eat....
    I posted this im sure in the wrong place

    Well the one that is not shaded I would recomend clover. My chickens LOVE my crimson clover I planted in my pasture. I had let grow up before I let them in it was 6'' or so and they mowed 3'' off the top in one weekend!

    Rye grass grows fast in the shade, but it requires lots of water. Also, How about wheat? (But it needs more sun)
