what do i put grit and oyster shells in? a dish??

I used the food & water dishes that attach to the door of an airline kennel for large dogs. I don't travel anymore with my dogs, so they were just collecting dust in the attic. I screwed the bowls right into the 2 x 4 posts of the run (one for grit and one for oyster shell when they are old enough).
