What to look for in a Sebright?

    so i'm looking a purchasing a sebright hen for showing (In AUSTRALIA) [​IMG]
    but the problem is, i dont really know what i'm looking for in them...

    so, does anyone have a list or any pointers in which i should look for in a prospective hen?? images of a perfect hen would also be greatly appreciated! [​IMG]

    are there any tips on what NOT to buy also??

    i just know that there lacing has to be even lacing and complete lacing. i dnt know anything about sebrights tho. hopfully someone can help u more

    On a little Farm.
    Well, if you're looking for a 'showbird', the girls should be Gypsy-Faced, that's all I know about Show Sebrights, but if you are, like I would be, in search of a good bird, try and pick birds with firm feeling undercarriage, rather stocky, not to the extent of Wyandottes or Cochins, but not sickly shaped. These traits, in my experience, apply to the broodiest birds.
