What to pick? Any suggestions?

I am about to order chicks. Tell me what you think about my choices. I wanted good layers and hardy winter birds. Im getting EEs, Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, White Leghorns, RIRs, SLWs, and 1 New Hamshire male. The rest hens. What do you think? Any other suggestions?

I think that you have made some good choices for our neck of the woods (I'm near Bristol). I hatched some BO's a few weeks ago and they are gorgeous!!!

Thanks, I've finally decided that I am just going to go ahead and get my chicks from McMurrays. I was trying to hold out and get them locally but I have had almost no luck and I like the idea of getting them all at the same age so I don't have to worry about keeping them separate. I was also not wanting to get 25 but I am making accomodations and have had no problem filling that order..lol i love chickens!
