What to plant for forage?

Forage turnips and Dwarf Essex Rape. Both are CHEAP, and the Rape last well beyond the first frost (extending your grazing time and cutting down on bag feed). You can spread the turnips seeds out to go for bulbs, but for your purposes it might be better to throw down more seed and just concentrate on the leaf greens.

Deer hunters are particularly found of the Dwarf Essex Rape. I know guys who plant acres and acres of it every year. The deer skip everything else and eat it--even in fields where they mixed multiple plant seeds together.
