Afternoon from Devon!!
we have a lot of clover in our garden which attracts a lot of bees. I noticed me duck was suddenly limping. On inspection I thought it was a splinter but when I pulled it out it's a bee sting.
Anyone have any idea what you put on a duck bee sting?
Can you use human remedies like hydrocortisone or not?

Hi.

I would first spray Vinegar on the sting site.

Next, I would do an Epsom Salt bath, for about 20-30 minutes...

Then, I would spray Vinegar on the sting site again.

After what, I would put a VERY thick layer of Green Clay around the sting site, and I would carefully wrap a bandage around it.

(NOTE : when you bandage your duck's foot, don't tighten it too much to NOT cut off blood circulation; and DON'T squeeze the toes, since your duck kind of HAS to walk on it!!)

...I would let the bandage for 24 hours. Not more, since after 24 hours, the Green Clay will have probably dried up...

(Green Clay would only work if it is MOIST, which is why a thick layer is necessary : it is so it has the time to absorb toxins before drying up.)
