What to use for feed

I will changing to a metal trashcan for storage. BUT I’ve got to feed them in something different. The chick feeders are to small now.

These I made of 4 inch pvc put wood cradles and drilled wholes.
The main container is a plan I bought holds 4, 20221125_133204 - Copy.jpg 20200719_155456.jpg 20181002_140652.jpg 20181002_140703.jpg 20181002_140729.jpg 20181002_140736.jpg 50 lb. bags of feed

We store feed in gamma lid containers. Stables around here use these to store grains for horses, too. They keep out water and critters. I haven't yet seen one fail.

We use port feeders in the runs because the runs aren't secure against squirrels/mice/rats/wild birds, and we can plug the feeders at night so nothing can eat from them. That means we have to go out every morning and unplug them but we use an expensive feed so it's worth the extra effort to keep freeloaders from getting it.
