What to use for feed

Hi everyone! Just wondering what do you put your feed in for your chickens?

As a feeder or for storage?
I have a 30lb metal gravity feeder and a metal trash can for storage

I will changing to a metal trashcan for storage. BUT I’ve got to feed them in something different. The chick feeders are to small now.

These I made of 4 inch pvc put wood cradles and drilled wholes.
The main container is a plan I bought holds 4, 50 lb. bags of feed

We have had rats okay so buy a 6 inch pvc as you make the feeders cut hardware cloth to match the wholes PVC 6 inch is top so cut in half over the hardware cloth enough to cover to the ground.

We store feed in gamma lid containers. Stables around here use these to store grains for horses, too. They keep out water and critters. I haven't yet seen one fail.

We use port feeders in the runs because the runs aren't secure against squirrels/mice/rats/wild birds, and we can plug the feeders at night so nothing can eat from them. That means we have to go out every morning and unplug them but we use an expensive feed so it's worth the extra effort to keep freeloaders from getting it.
